Dr. Deborah Cannon P. Wolfe Scholarship

The Dr. Deborah Cannon P. Wolfe Scholarship was established by Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated Chi Eta Zeta Chapter to assist college bound young women from Massachusetts on their educational journey. Dr. Wolfe was the 14th International President of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and a dedicated educator. Born on December 22, 1916 in Cranford, New Jersey, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Studies. She went on to earn both a Master’s degree and doctorate in Education. Dr. Wolfe devoted her life to teaching at the primary, secondary, and post-secondary levels. Having been awarded over 65 honorary degrees, she was one of the most influential educators in the United States during the twentieth century.  As the sorority’s longest serving President to date, she devoted her life to education and our sorority. Dr. Wolfe was influential in many of the organization’s accomplishments, including the development of the organization’s international headquarters. Her life is a true inspiration and her legacy will be felt for generations. In her name and legacy, we award a biennial scholarship to two deserving young women.
