About the Event:
Did you know that due to unequal access to health care services, only 25% of people in the black community will seek mental health services? Join Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated Chi Eta Zeta Chapter, in collaboration with N.A.H.S.E. Boston Chapter, on Saturday, May 18th, for a Mental Wellness Fellowship at Cambridge Community Center. This fellowship will begin with a one-hour Zumba/Dance session, followed by lunch and Facilitated Break-Out groups for women (18+), men (18+), and youth (12-17yo). In addition, we will be offering on-site child care for those who would like to attend needing additional services.
Join us in advancing better mental well-being through better understanding, transparent conversations, and togetherness during Mental Health Awareness Month! Space is limited. Registration/Tickets Required
Our Event Speakers/Facilitators:
Women: Dr.Gayl Crump Swaby (Mental Health Therapist, Consultant, and Associate Professor of Counseling)
Men: Bro. James Callahan III (Certified School Psychologist and Therapist)
Youth: Anne Mancebo (School Adjustment Counselor and a Pre-licensed Clinician)
Zumba/Dance Instructor: Nadjya Facey-Maccow
Tickets (includes lunch):
Women & Men (age 18+): $15
Youth (age 12-17): $5
*This event includes a Zumba/Dance Class. The The fitness portion of the program is not required, and participants may choose to join us for the lunch and break-out sessions only. Participants agree to Zumba fitness class at their own*
