Boxing For the Heart

Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) is an abnormality in the heart that develops before birth.   1 in 100 Babies is born with CHD and it is one of the most common types of birth defects.  Heart Disease is also the number one killer of women in the U.S., killing one woman every minute.  Heart Disease is also the leading cause of death for men in the U.S., with 1 of every 4 deaths caused by it.

While Heart Health is important for all, we dedicate this event to Christopher "Deuce" Wheeler, the son of our Soror Meissa Wheeler, who recently passed away due to CHD.  Deuce fought his battle for as long as he could and continues to fight as he brings awareness for all of us to share.

This event is a kickboxing class to raise money for and bring attention to CHD.  We challenge you to get up and be active, so please join the ladies of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc., Chi Eta Zeta Chapter, alongside MelanIn Medicine, Health and Healing as we put on our boxing gloves and #FightlikeDeuce.
